What is GitHub Copilot?
Github Copilot is an AI-powered code completion tool developed by Github in collaboration with OpenAI. It provides Code suggestions for code completion and helps developers write, debug, and understand code more efficiently. It supports multiple programming languages so you can leverage code suggestions for any programming language such as Python, Java, C++, Go, etc.

What is the GitHub Copilot free plan?
GitHub Copilot free plan offers developers up to 2000 free code completions and 50 free chat messages and interactions per month. In my opinion, to be honest, the chat messages are easy to exhaust and this seems like an introductory plan to understand what it can offer. However if you want to use it extensively, you need to go for a premium version which starts from $10.

The advantage of Copilot is to leverage the power of Advanced AI Models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet by Anthropic and GPT-4 by OpenAI as GitHub is part of Microsoft.
Overall, Github Copilot with its free version, keeps up with the competition like Cursor as they were already offering 2000 code suggestions. In fact, in my opinion, Github offers reliable and consistent suggestions as of now. Let us know if you want to see a thorough article comparing the same.
In the upcoming YouTube video, we will use GitHub Copilot to generate code and also leverage the power of Copilot AI to create an application quickly.
